Unfortunately, my blog has taken a back-seat to more important life events. But, I figured this was a good way to get things going again.

I found this image as I was scouring through old scans. This is half of my extended family–my Dad’s family–the Morgans. And, I figured it was a fitting pic for this time of year, with all the snow we’ve been getting. My dad is third from the left. Grandparents on the right. My aunt Tracey on the left, skis barely holding on. Greg and Andy the other two boys. I love you, Morgans.

If you haven’t been to Steamboat, put it on your bucket list. In my opinion, it’s one of the better mountain towns Colorado has to offer (Telluride, too). It takes a little extra time to get to than other more touristy locations, but it’s well worth it. Leading up to the wedding, it had been raining for several days. Everything was green and simply…stunning!

It had been two years since we had taken a vacation, and it was more than needed…to say the least. I wanted to share a few images from our trip.

The last one makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. That is miss Ella in a nutshell. So stinkin’ cute, if I may say so myself.

I think my fave is my wife and Ella sitting on the wall against the ocean (in La Jolla). It warms my heart to think of them, and us, and our vacation. They’re the most important people in my life, and being able to spend the last couple weeks with them is something you can’t put a price on. I’m so happy to have them in my life, and so grateful that we were able to spend as much quality time together as we did in California.

I was doing a quick edit of the pics I grabbed, and came across these two shots. This is my daughter just after the hunt ended, and the excitement she was feeling after collecting enough eggs to fill her basket…and then some. And you’ll notice my daughter has suffered the fate of the classic song, “All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.” Too cute!

Vivian’s images are breathtaking, I have no doubt that Vivian will go down as one of the greats! She said she was most excited to play on the playground, and meet new friends.  Isn’t she just too cute with her little uniform and her hello kitty lunch box? I want to squeeze her little cheeks.
