This morning I dropped my 6 year-old little turkey off at her first day of 1st grade, and I was overwhelmed with so many emotions–definitely a bit teary eyed. But, she was excited to start her new adventure (though not excited about more pictures), which eased my worries. She said she was most excited to play on the playground, and meet new friends. Isn’t she just too cute with her little uniform and her hello kitty lunch box? I want to squeeze her little cheeks.
I recently received this review from one of my brides last year, and wanted to share. Being a wedding photographer, this gets right down to why I do what I do. To know I’ve given someone something to cherish over and over again, warms my heart.

Ah, Kendra and Luke. Such sweet, sweet couple these two are. I had SO much fun at this wedding, and am so honored that I got to be a part of it. The family and friends these two are surrounded by are unbelievably genuine and down-to-earth, and really gave them the space to experience the very raw and powerful emotions that getting married entails. So often nerves get in the way of being present, but these two were there–with each other. It was amazing.
And The Manor House in South Denver (actually in Golden, I believe) was phenomenal. Being there gives you a sense of the days when people arrived by carriage, and the men wore top hats. Walking the grounds there was very cool. One of my favorite venues to date.
Kendra and Luke, I wish you the very, very best, and hope we run into each other in the future! You two are an inspiration to many, and deserve all the love and support you’re surrounded by.
